These brow tracing steps will be the first portion of your final exam. Please follow each video and instructions within the video to ensure the Scalpa Educators are able to see your practice and progress. You will be taking photos of your practice work and at the end of this module and submitting them all together for evaluation before moving onto the next section of your final exam.
If you have not purchased a Scalpa Microblading Training Kit, please do not submit your work. This is only for those seeking certification through Scalpa.
The tracing and mapping videos do not contain sound.
In the packet your downloaded on Module 4, starting on page 6, you will find the section to practice your stroke technique. Follow the instructions and arrows to direct your drawing technique. Next, as shown in the second video, we will be going over beginning to fill the strokes in. This will be similar to the strokes you practiced on your practice skin but you will be working section by section and upside down! This is important because when you actually perform microblading, you will be doing it from behind them, therefore the brows will be upside down. You will work through the steps in this packet until you begin drawing all of your own strokes. Submit photos of each of these sections in your submission form at the end of this module.
SCALPA puts a lot of thought into how we help our students prepare their hand for proper SCALPA brow work. This is why we have specially created a synthetic skin training system that will give you all the confidence and tools to build the right skills. All you have to do is follow the lines, this training will help you build your brow foundation. It will teach you the proper order to perform a brow procedure in. Take a small amount of pigment before each stroke and try to keep the surface clean. Remember to lean on your finger to get stability and don't forget to stretch well, even though it is a synthetic skin. Work at an even pressure and do not change it from stroke to stroke. Place the blade gently and trace as precisely as you can. If the blade is stuck and does not flow, the pressure is to high. Work slowly and safely and you will succeed!
In this section you will need to draw the eyebrow according to the rules you have learned with the 5 point method. We suggest you to do it with our SCALPA pencil so that you can erase it if needed instead of a regular pen. Once the brow design is created, fill them with strokes as you have learned. Please pay attention to all the little details, fill eyebrows fully and accurately, and send us your best work!
