SCALPAJECT TRAINING - MODULE 1

Introduction to Microneedling

Micro-needling is becoming one of the most popular and effective treatments used today for skin rejuvenation.Microneedle treatments use a pen like device that oscillates a tip up and down to stimulate a skin reaction. Microneedling induces cell turnover, serum infusion and provoke the healing process that results in skin transformation.

The Micro-Needle…

In this training course we will be using an actual needle cartridge with 12 and 36 fine pins that can be adjusted to different depths. This allows the practitioner to use superficial settings (0.5 mm) for delicate areas around the eyes and deeper depths (2.0-2.5 mm) for acne scars and wrinkles. The micro-injuries caused by the procedure stimulate the body’s natural healing process, increasing collagen and elastin production to promote skin rejuvenation. This procedure can also be effective for pigmentation, stretch marks and even hair loss. These treatments are done monthly usually in a series of 3-6 treatments.

Types of Needles

Micro-Needles Come in Different Needle Cartridges, Ranging From 9,12,36 Nano And More. Nine Needle Cartridges Will Treat Fine Lines. They Are Less Invasive and Give A More Minimal Result. Twelve Needle Cartridges Are More Effective and Are Suitable to Treat All Skin Concerns, Including Fine Lines and Deep Wrinkles, Lax Skin, Stretch Marks, Cellulite, Pigmentation, Burn Scars and Post Acne Scars. 36 Needle Cartridges Are More Invasive and Suitable to Treat Scars, Large Pores and Deep Wrinkles. Working with These Needles Can Be Very Painful when used at deeper depth. In the case of a deeper depth, we advise you to numb the patient/client’s face first. Needles 9,12,24,36 All May Be Used for Micro-needling, but with injection of Scalpa Mesotherapy Serums we will use a needle depth of .25mm pen setting

Christina talks more about what exactly hyaluronic acid is and what role it plays in our bodies. Having the knowledge about the functions of hyaluronic acid helps us better understand how it is used in fillers and how it can be applied using the Hyaluron Pen.
