FIRST SESSION

During your first session, follow these steps! First, have the client complete any paperwork if not completed at consultation. Once that is finished, take before photos with the client lying down and standing up. Cleanse and dry skin  and measure and decide nipple placement with the client standing in front of a mirror. Draw in areola shape. Then, Ensure that your client is happy with the shape, size and overall placement. Prep your pigments – a base – and a light/medium/dark variation. By using your dark pigment and light feathery strokes with a 1 RL needle, sketch in the nipple. Add somedimension by shading along the bottom of one side of the nipple with the same dark color. With a shader, fill in the rest of the areola with your base color – try to keep the shading as even aspossible without any streaks. You will also color in the nipple protrusion if she has them You'll then make sure the outer edges of the areolas are not an exact sharp line – should look more frayed at theedges. With this base, now is the time to apply your artistry. You can add texture, shading, and create montgomery glands with highlights and lowlights. Finally, take photos!

SECOND SESSION

For the second appointment, give at least 8 weeks after the initial session. At this session, you'll want to check to see how client has healed. Take in progress photos and then ask for feedback from the client – what she likes / dislikes. Shade in areas that look patchy and add more dimension with dark/light tones. Finally, Take after photos! Schedule a third session to check in if necessary.

AFTERCARE

For aftercare, apply a light coat of your choice of aftercare ointment and cover the areola complex with a non-stick gauze pad – this should be removed in 4-5 hours and remaineduncovered for the rest of healing process. Wash the area gently with a mild soap and fingertips once a day – and reapply a very light layer of after-care ointment. Aftercare ointment can be reapplied 1-3x a day until the skin is no longer flaking – usually up to 3 weeks. Be careful and do not swim or soak in a tub for at least 3 weeks and do not wear tight fitting or synthetic fabrics – a light cotton shirt is best.
