The first step of Scalpa PMU Removal treatment is similar to the process of traditional tattooing but instead of applying the pigment you will be removing it using the Scalpa Machine and Scalpa Saline Solution. This will puncture the top layer of skin, opening the area. Scalpa Salt paste is then applied to the area, drawing the pigment to the skin’s surface for removal of ink.
You can treat up to a 4-by-4-inch area in one sitting. Clients should expect one to four procedures before they see desired results. With this method of PMU removal, clients can expect the tattoo to become lighter, but a full removal should not be expected in all cases. The skin can be re-tattooed after the treatment area heals.

PMU Removal Pre-Care
Scalpa Numb is a pre-numbing solution that you will leave on the client 15 to 20 minutes prior to procedure. This will ensure that patients with sensitivity will feel minimal pain throughout the process. This is only to be used before treatment and should not be applied once the skin has been broken. Place a generous amount of numb on the patient and cover with Scalpa Patch to lock in the product. After applying Numb you will be ready to begin you procedure with Saline.
