What is Ombré Brow?

Ombré brow is a semi-permanent technique for enhancing the appearance, shape, and fullness of the eyebrows. Ombré brow, also known as "powdered brow" is a soft, misty, powder-filled brow similar to the look of makeup. This means the tails of the brow are darker and fade into a lighter color at the head of the brow, giving them a very subtle ombré appearance. Unlike microblading, these brows are typically done with a machine and typically last longer with more retention. Over time, pigment fades about 50% leaving your clients with amazing results. It is important to get proper permanent makeup ombré training when performing this procedure.

The Scalpa Machine is designed to deliver high-quality Ombré, SMP, and PMU procedures. The Scalpa Pen has a stroke length of 4.2mm. This longer stroke enables the technician to deposit more ink into the skin while still only penetrating the outer layer of the skin. This technique results in a natural appearance resembling hair with results that are long lasting. Make each procedure run smoothly while receiving the best results with the Scalpa Machine! The Scalpa Machine is designed for comfort and is less likely to cause hand shaking or cramping that is often associated during long duration procedures.

Ombré Numbing

Numb and Gone are two of Scalpa’s most popular products as they are both used in the numbing process of most of our procedures. These two paired together are great for numbing clients looking to get ombré brow. Numb is a pre-numbing solution that you will leave on the client 15 to 20 minutes prior to procedure. This will ensure that patients with sensitivity will feel minimal pain throughout the process. This is only to be used before treatment and should not be applied once the skin has been broken.

Gone is our numbing solution used during the procedure. Many artists will do a light pass to break the skin before adding Gone. Once a generous amount of Gone has been applied to the open skin, the procedure will continue with ease and as you apply brow pigment using our Scalpa Machine. Gone helps prevent pain as well as bleeding.
