The New Trend, Henna Brows!

Scalpa Henna Brows are the new trend!

The New Trend, Henna Brows!

The eyebrows are one of the most noticeable features on the face. Doing something different to them can either make or break your appearance. Whether you were born with thin brows or big bushy brows, most of us can agree that we want the perfect brows. Many women and even men wax, pluck, dye, fill in, or even get tattooed to enhance the appearance of their brows to achieve the perfect brow. Microblading and other forms of permanent makeup have become popular around the world in achieving a more flawless look that requires less maintenance. This can be costly, painful, and require downtime. This procedure isn’t for everyone and if you’re one of those people, I have a solution for you. Henna brow tinting!

What Is It?

If you are familiar with the traditional henna, it is very similar. Traditional henna has been used for hundreds of years for a variety of different things from dying fabrics to creating beautiful designs on the skin. The henna pigment dyes whatever it is left on and leaves behind an orange-brown stain. The beauty industry is now utilizing this henna pigmentation to create beautiful full brows.

How Does It Work?

There are a variety of different colors available for henna brow to create the perfect shade for every hair color. The traditional orange-brown color that is left behind is not a worry for these new shades. From light brown to black, there is a color for everyone. The process itself is quite simple. The henna is left on the skin for 20-40 minutes depending on intensity. The practitioner will clean around the area to be sure the shape is perfect. Once the henna is wiped off, you may opt to have your brows shaped with tweezers or waxing.

Facts and Benefits

What is so amazing about henna brow is that it not only tints the hair but also the skin beneath it while standard brow tinting only tints the hair. This will create a fuller appearance by dying the skin as well and not just the hair on the brows. Henna brow can last on the hair for up to five weeks and on the hair around two weeks but will depend on your skin type and routine. Standard brow tinting only lasts three weeks. Henna brow is a great alternative to more permanent treatments like microblading. Permanent procedures can be painful and can cost a pretty penny. If you are looking to cut out your brow pencil and wake up feeling beautiful with no maintenance, henna brows are for you!
